Email SMTP & IMAP

You can connect your own or your client's email address to Gonzy with SMTP & IMAP so Gonzy can send emails on your behalf.

To setup your own email via SMTP & IMAP - start by navigating to the Integrations page which you can reach by clicking on the gear icon in the header of the app and then clicking "Integrations".

Within the integrations page you will see a box where you can connect your email. Click connect and you will see a prompt to choose between the options: SMTP/IMAP, Outlook or Gmail. Select SMTP/IMAP.

If you wish to connect SMTP & IMAP for your customer this can be done in the fulfillment dashboard. Toggle to fulfillment, click the manage button for the company/customer you wish the connect email for, then from the left hand side menu, click on the Communication tab and you will see a box where you can connect your client's email. Click the connect button.

You will see a form with a set of inputs like the screenshot above. Enter the following values into each input:

Email: Your full email address (e.g., yourname@gmail.com)

Username: Your full email address (e.g., yourname@gmail.com))

Password: Preferably your application specific password* OR your email account password.

*Follow the steps given here to create and use application specific passwords for connecting your email account.

SMTP & IMAP Host & Port values depend on your email service provider. Here are some common host & port values and instructions on how to find these values in case your email service provider is not in this list:

Gmail

Yahoo Mail

Outlook

If you don't see your email provider in the list above, you can try the following options:

Email Service Provider's Documentation:

  • Visit the Official Website: Go to the official website of your email service provider.
  • Support or Help Section: Look for a “Support” or “Help” section. This is often found at the bottom of the homepage.
  • Search for Email Settings: Use the search function to look for terms like “SMTP settings,” “IMAP settings,” or “email configuration.”
  • Find the Settings: Locate the relevant article that lists the SMTP and IMAP host and port information.

Contacting Support:

  • Customer Support: Look for a “Contact Us” or “Support” page on your email provider’s website.
  • Email or Chat: Use the provided email address, chat support, or phone number to reach out to their support team.
  • Ask for Settings: Request the SMTP and IMAP host and port settings for your email account.

If you enter all the inputs correctly into the SMTP/IMAP form, you should see a pop-up with green "Connected and Verified" text.
